1. Access data and hosting

1.1. Web hosting by Wix.com

Our website is hosted at Wix.com. Wix.com automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits to us in so-called server log files for us (and only visible to us). These are:

  • Browser type / version

  • operating system used

  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)

  • Host name of the accessing computer (IP address)

  • Time of the server request.

This information cannot be assigned to specific persons, ie it is non-personal data. They are used exclusively for the purpose of ensuring trouble-free operation of the site. According to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit.f GDPR, this serves to safeguard our legitimate interests, which are predominant in the context of a weighing of interests, in a correct presentation of our offer. This data is not combined with other data sources. All of the above access data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose of the survey.

1.2 SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this website uses an SSL or. TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http: //” to “https: //” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If the SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Nevertheless, we would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is therefore not possible.

2. Data collection and use

2.1 Data collection when using the contact form

We collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us when you contact us (e.g. using the contact form or e-mail). Mandatory fields are marked as such, as in these cases we need the data to process your contact. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you have provided to process your inquiries in accordance with Article 6, Paragraph 1, Sentence 1, Letter b of the GDPR. The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

2.2 Data collection for contract processing

We collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order / cooking course booking. Mandatory fields are marked as such, because in these cases we need the data to process the contract. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you have provided in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR to process the contract. After the contract has been fully processed, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the retention periods under tax and commercial law have expired.

When purchasing cooking course vouchers for other participants, it can be assumed that the purchaser has the person taking part in the event to register them. To book and participate in cooking courses, it is essential to provide the participant's name or email address. If you do not want to disclose the names of the participants, or if you are not sure of their consent, you can also choose a pseudonym.

2.3 Waiting List

The e-mail address you may have entered on the waiting list is only used to remind you of available cooking class places or other offers. The e-mail address is not automatically deleted after the reminder e-mail has been sent. The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it or revoke your consent to storage.

3. Protection of personal data

We take technical and organizational measures in accordance with the requirements of Art. 32 GDPR to protect the user's personal data. All of our employees who are involved in the processing of personal data are obliged to maintain data secrecy.

4. Email newsletters

When you register for our newsletter, we use the data required for this or separately provided by you in order to regularly send you our e-mail newsletter based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described above or via a link provided in the newsletter. After you unsubscribe, we will delete your email address.

The newsletter is sent as part of processing on our behalf by a service provider (Wix.com https://wix.com/), to whom we pass on your e-mail address.

For this evaluation, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which represent single-pixel image files that are stored on our website. For the evaluations, we link the data mentioned in section 1 and the web beacons with your email address and an individual ID. With the data obtained in this way, we create a user profile in order to tailor the newsletter to your individual interests. We record when you read our newsletters, which links you click in them and deduce your personal interests from this. We link this data with actions you have taken on our website. You can object to this tracking at any time by informing us via one of the contact channels given above. The information is stored as long as you have subscribed to the newsletter. After you unsubscribe, we save the data purely statistically and anonymously.
